I have been really lacking in updating this blog and I also haven't been taking enough photos to fill a whole post, so I will just recap what I did in December! ^^
First up - I graduated at last! It was a lovely day in a beautiful cathedral. I got to see my best buddy Heba who flew from Cyprus, I hadn't seen her since June ;3; It was so strange to realise how fast those three years went but they were the best three years of my life.
Hello everyone! As I mentioned in my previous posts I recently I purchased my first Lolita dress from Bodyline which influenced my friend Heba to try out Lolita too.
Since Heba had problems with her address she was living at we went to Camden to purchase a dress in person rather than online. Heba went for a more Gothic, classical look and obviously I went for a Sweet, Hime look.
We did a photo shoot around Hatfield old town and at Heba's Uni house and here are some of my favourites.
Hello everybody! I haven't made a post for a while now and I want to share with you what I've been up to lately since starting my third year of University. Other than trying to get started on my dissertation (and failing miserably) I visited London for galleries with my friend Heba who's also on my course. I went on a Monday and you would have thought I'd have remembered galleries are shut on Mondays after being an art student for nearly 8 years!! But no, we went anyway - it was a complete face palm moment. I don't know what it is about visiting London but it always makes me want to dress up so I did Hime Gyaru...again.
I am wearing one of my handmade bows, half wig from buychina, faux fur collar from ebay and my pink hime coat from cutejapanesefashion.com
I also joined a group on facebook called "goodbye wardrobe clothing swap" where people sell old items for a closet clean out which is mainly offbrand Japanese influenced clothes. A lot of the items on there are super cheap and there are few brand labels on there :)) Anyway I scrolled through most of the feed and found one member selling a giant Rilakkuma for £20!! She works in Artbox where I picked him up and he is not currently on my bed with my collection of cushions and other plushies :3 haha I'm in love <3
Since we went on Monday we had to go to Yo! Sushi for blue mondays where many dishes are reduced to £2.45 each...or something in that price range. I had more than just this chicken ISO but I was too hungry to photograph everything else and I just want to eat! I also had chicken katsu curry, tamago nigiri and I also ordered duck gyoza but I really didn't like it. I took one bite and left it haha I much prefer the chicken gyoza :3 I was going to have dorayaki afterwards but my stomach was actually in pain. I ate way too fast and had a food baby for the rest of the day 8( so instead I had crepes when I got to Camden :3
We took a stroll through Hyde Park because Serpentine gallery is located there - but obviously it was shut and my feet were killing me so much. Anyway this part looked really picturesque and lovely ^^ so I got some shots of my outfit.
Then lastly we headed to Cyberdog in Camden town as I had a voucher that I won from the Japan Brighton festival fashion show. I bought the playsuit in the right image, its super tight and I can imagine taller people getting a proper camel toe in this haha yay for shortness! ;D I can't wait to wear it out seriously ;o;. The image on the left is what I was wearing that day underneath my coat :)).

Well howdy there, I have another make-up post, this time on Shironuri! It is a subculture that emerged in Harajuku, which mainly focused on Horror and gothic themes while painting the entire face white! If this is translated it shows "Shiro" means "White" and "Nuri" means "painted." I'm not entirely sure how long this style has been around, although it has recently risen in popularity due to Shironuri Artist Minori. Minori has put a unique spin on Shironuri by being influenced by natural materials and objects, in my opinion I think Minori's style looks really ethereal and artistic. So I've decided to attempt this style for Hyper Japan coming up in July!
To achieve this look I used a blend of Mabyelline White stay UV in "Snow White", Snazaroo white face paint and Stargazer white powder. I found that the Snazaroo face paint was too flaky and really highlighted how huge my pores are! I have very dry areas of skin, especially on my nose and in the middle of my eyebrows (weird place I know xD). So I am thinking of treating the dry skin before applying anything. Also, I am changing the White face paint to "Blanc de clown" by Snazaroo which is a cream instead of this crumbly and thick texture. Since this is my first attempt I have realised to get a better result I need to mix more foundation to the face paint, not the other way around. My entire face here is mainly just face paint which left after a few hours started looking grey/purplish! Nor did it give a smooth appearance or coverage, there were patches that had rubbed off! I am also going to buy more flowers to stick onto my face and perhaps buy some pink temporary eye tattoos since it will be precise on both eyelids :).
Lastly, I need to work on the clothes as the top I chose is much too thick to wear during July! I will roast! Here is a list of where I bought these items: White Cotton Lolita Aristocrat-style shirt - Hyper Japan 2012 £25.99 Chiffon waiscoat - T.K.MAXX £10.99
Chiffon Maxi Skirt - Vanilla (Camden Market) £30.99 Lace White Stockings - ebay £2.99 White Platform Mary-Jane style shoes - Milanoo £39.99 (Don't ever buy from this store though!! These shoes took over a month to reach me, there's so much bad feedback and items do not arrive looking like their stock photo! I was lucky to receive shoes in the right size as a lot of people get sent the wrong size and never get refunded, these aren't great quality either, the straps snapped within two months of owning them. Oh hot glue gun, how would I ever survive with you?♥) Floral headband - Primark £3
Eyelashes - Diamond Lashes, purple packet. ebay £11.99 Wig - ebay £11.99 Lenses - Kimchi...angelic...violet...oh dear I can't remember their name nor the store I bought them from! :c They were on sale though, and cost me £9 (:
Teddy Bear - £1 Poundland (haha he's an air freshener!) Pink Rose - H&M £2.99 Lace Cuffs - ebay £5.99 Here's a close up of my lace cuffs, they were handmade by the seller on ebay, although I can't find their store as I think they have sold all their items
And that's all peeps :) Laterz~

Annnnnyway, I visited Lakeside purely for Yo! Sushi ;) then headed straight to Primark and found this adorable headband for £3 :D I thought it'd be perfect for Gyaru style. The bow is a thick beige lace which I've now decorated :D Then I found this Nautical themed bracelet for £2 which is perfect for my Mermaid Cosplay ^^
...Okay don't laugh I found these beauties in the Kids section XD
They were too adorable not to buy!! Plus at £7 I couldn't go wrong ;D
Although kids sizes are weird, the waist is huge on me, yet tight on my thighs - Maybe I just got too much junk in the trunk. Ah well it still fits well plus I have an ice cream boob tube to match ^^
Next were these floral Lace corset tops, the item on the left is from Primark and the right image is from Miss Selfridge. I absolutely adore Miss Selfridge's Summer line, the chiffon maxi skirts and corset tops are beautifuulllll I tell ye! Although there is an obvious difference in price, the Primark top I bought for £6, the Miss Selfridge top however, was £27 ...£25 with student discount.
Lastly from Primark was this studded collar chain and badges for £1.50 in the men's section. Below are Some accessories from Miss Selfridge (Headband and the bracelet) which were both on sale for £2 with have pink roses on. The cat bell choker underneath is from Taobao from a store called Unicorn shop...I think that's the name
Primark Sunglasses - £3 which I then decorated myself
Last Monday I visited Camden limiting myself to spend just £40...lets say that went out the window the minute I entered the first shop
I got this for something likkkeee £25.99 from this little hidden shop near Cyberdog. The lady who run the shop was super sweet from Italy and we (Heba and I) spent an hour in her shop while she dressed us up like dolls XD. From the same shop I bought the skirt below which originally was £18 but was given to me for £15
I'm really obsessed with chiffon material in cream with cute embroidery. I've been inspired by Cult party Kei lately and really want to try the still out for this summer if it will ever arrive
I bought these items in a store called "Vanilla" where the over dress cost £35 and the Maxi skirt was about £30.99. Hehe the maxi skirt is actually supposed to be three quarter length but I'm so short it reaches to the floor on me :3.
And here are images of me trying the clothes on
Maxi skirt (I am taking the underskirt up so its shorter and shows more of my leg through the embroidery)
Mini Embroidery skirt (My Cats Bum in the background)
Chiffon over coat
Frilly jacket
Oh I also bought this skirt on ebay for £3 :P
Ice cream shorts, looking hot in my sunglasses. I DON'T THINK YO' READY FO' THIS JELLY
Here's an image of my floaty corset top from Miss Selfridge which isn't shown very clearly :c but hey, I tried on perfect white buffalo towers!! Ffffff -
