Life update - 3rd Year

Hello everybody! I haven't made a post for a while now and I want to share with you what I've been up to lately since starting my third year of University. Other than trying to get started on my dissertation (and failing miserably) I visited London for galleries with my friend Heba who's also on my course. I went on a Monday and you would have thought I'd have remembered galleries are shut on Mondays after being an art student for nearly 8 years!! But no, we went anyway - it was a complete face palm moment.
I don't know what it is about visiting London but it always makes me want to dress up so I did Hime Gyaru...again.

I also joined a group on facebook called "goodbye wardrobe clothing swap" where people sell old items for a closet clean out which is mainly offbrand Japanese influenced clothes. A lot of the items on there are super cheap and there are few brand labels on there :))
Anyway I scrolled through most of the feed and found one member selling a giant Rilakkuma for £20!! She works in Artbox where I picked him up and he is not currently on my bed with my collection of cushions and other plushies :3 haha I'm in love <3

Since we went on Monday we had to go to Yo! Sushi for blue mondays where many dishes are reduced to £2.45 each...or something in that price range.
I had more than just this chicken ISO but I was too hungry to photograph everything else and I just want to eat!
I also had chicken katsu curry, tamago nigiri and I also ordered duck gyoza but I really didn't like it. I took one bite and left it haha I much prefer the chicken gyoza :3
I was going to have dorayaki afterwards but my stomach was actually in pain. I ate way too fast and had a food baby for the rest of the day 8( so instead I had crepes when I got to Camden :3

We took a stroll through Hyde Park because Serpentine gallery is located there - but obviously it was shut and my feet were killing me so much. Anyway this part looked really picturesque and lovely ^^ so I got some shots of my outfit.

Then lastly we headed to Cyberdog in Camden town as I had a voucher that I won from the Japan Brighton festival fashion show. I bought the playsuit in the right image, its super tight and I can imagine taller people getting a proper camel toe in this haha yay for shortness! ;D
I can't wait to wear it out seriously ;o;. The image on the left is what I was wearing that day underneath my coat :)).

MCM Expo - Mermaid Make-up test

So I'm going as a Mermaid for MCM Expo next week and decided to do a make-up test ^^
I followed this Mermaid Make-up tutorial because I adored the colour combination of mint green and purple and here is the end result :P

I tried to create fish scales by placing fish net tights over my face and dabbing eyeshadow through the holes, although the holes on my tights were too large xD so it looks a little lame and unrealistic.

Here are my purple eyebrows which wont really be seen under the fringe anyway :c - I just wanted to have pretty purple hairz above mai eyez

Then I decided to put the whole Cosplay together which I wont post on here until after MCM (:
Here is a list of products I used, however, since I am not a make-up artist I am not recommending the products I used as I am sure there are many better brands to use to achieve this look. (Although I am recommending the BB cream, its brilliant!):

Hyper Japan! November 2012~

So the morning started at half seven and it was pretty boring. I got ready and here's what I looked like! The bow, necklace and the bracelet was hand made by me.
I did Hime Gyaru again :D and actually bought a wig for it this time!
I had the crazy cab man ringing me three times near half nine telling me that the cab was leaving soon I was like, okay babes keep your tits on. Stop ringing me! Also he spoke really fast with a heavy accent so everything he said I just replied with "....yeah?" XD haha!!Here's the accessories I made and wore:

When we arrived I bought way too much than I should have >  > BUT I REGRET NOTHING.
The image on the left is me with this adorable girl who had wonderful headphones which she made herself! I have seen her at every Hyper Japan I've been to but I can't remember her name unfortunately :'((.

I saw her around at Manga con too but I was too embarrassed to say hello both times. I've seen a few of her videos...they're a little uhm...eh but hey she can do what she likes haha. Its always odd to see the people you've watched on youtube.

 
As we were browsing I came across a nintendo stall selling old nostalgic games and as I looked upon the shelves I came across a Spyro plushie!!!

Hahah I am a big fan of the PS1 Spyro games and not to mention he was the first ..."thing" I had a crush on as a kid! I was slightly odd child okay :c. I wanted to be a dragon too and save the world of Avalar with Spyro ♥

Pixie Late also has her own shop now and was selling adorable items by Swimmer and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu x Mameshiba. I just had to by this wonder scarf in the image above. LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT BOW. I have an obsession with bows and also the pattern, the colour, the softness plus it was by swimmer, a brand I've always wanted to buy from. Yeah don't mind me being propa Gee with Spyro...

I wish I took a photo of all the food we had at Hyper Japan, their food is ten times better than the shitty "Sweet and sour" noodles you get at MCM. Even though the food is expensive it is worth it at Hyper Japan.
I had Japanese beef curry with fried vegetables, it had a specific name in Japanese but my memory is so terrible :c. Since then I've really wanted to try cooking it myself, it was lovely.

Then I had some Vegetable noodles (which also had a specific name in Japanese) I did want some kind of meat in the noodles, however the only option was prawns and I don't eat any seafood >->"
I don't think I'd survive if I ever visited Japan.
Then lastly I had Doriyaki which I also tried at Manga con and it consists of two mini pancakes held together with ice cream. Y'all maybe thinking, wont the ice cream melt?
Nope! It stays quite solid yet still soft and creamy enough to bite into.

It comes in a variety of flavours and I bought the strawberries and cream (:
They have chocolate, red bean, custard and some others that I don't remember.

I will take photos of everything else I bought but the lighting is terrible right now but I got a photo of my posters :P I couldn't help myself! And I was only charged for two and these are excellent quality and a lot cheaper than the posters at MCM expo which were £10 each! 

Even though T.O.P is my bias, I have this huge thing for Seungri.
I don't know what is but he seems like he'd be one of those secretly sexy boyfriends who acts derp in public but elsewhere...you know ;D hahaha
What am I saying? o.o

This is badly written but I'm tired and I can't remember what else happened haha!
